Jesse Amesbury

Edwin B. Forsythe NWR--Holgate Unit
Ocean County, NJ

Both fly overs headed north along the beach. Photo review shows one ragged individual and one relatively fresh individual. Both appear to be females too.

[Super cool photos, Jesse! Females often said to be the more likely sex to head north on long flights, already fertilized. This is definitely true for over-wintering migrants from Mexico. Not sure if that has been proven for the other long north-bound jumps, e.g. from Gulf Coast states to NJ. jc]
