Sighting for July 8, 2018

Steven Glynn

Nabb Road private fields
Cumberland County, NJ

The land ownership has repurposed some of the land and last month completely plowed under one of the key fields.

I've gained permission to walk the private property again this season and made my first foray into the field today. It was nice to actually need to use my dial counters this year for a change.

Checkered White colony is still viable, as my lone individual was an ovipositing female today.

[Steve's ovipositing female is our first checkered white of 2018. Good to have on our list for the year. jc]
