Jack Miller

my yard Petersburg
Cape May County, NJ

Sunny and breezy. Observations made in the early afternoon when I did a loop around the property. New high count for Rare sk. here. I tried counting the Broadwings by fives but stopped at 100 as it was too hard to do. Someone with a good camera could have had a great time here as there were often 2 or 3 species on one flower and as many as 7 Rare sk on one Liatris bloom. The pickerel weed was the big attraction for the Broadwings and just about every species present visited the coneflowers.
