Sighting for August 29, 2019

Jack Miller

Featherbed Lane area
Salem County, NJ

Full sun, 70's and breezy NW. Observations made from 10 until 1. Forgot my binoculars which created challenges as much of this area is fenced off or planted so that I could only identify bflys along the edges. All of the large numbers are conservative estimates. One field was planted with acres of a blue flowering plant that drew in 100's of bflys creating an awesome vista of bflys. I was here primarily for Meadow frits, which I followed and followed but only saw one land briefly. Interesting markings on the dark Tiger.
