I guess I can assume Sachem is no longer a southern stray.
[Yes, they been emerging too soon – usually in May, but sometimes in April and once in March – to be taken for strays. Almost certainly, it is over-wintering now in our area. By summer our resident population is increased by migrant arrivals. According to David Wright, it is still only a migrant in Pennsylvania and apparently does not survive winter there. jc]
