Beth Polvino

my yard NABA #1151 & Monarch Waystation #8318
Cape May County, NJ

Checked today for Brazilian Skippers eggs and nests and actually found the BS sitting on a Day lily. I have many eggs and small nests on my cannas. I'd estimate I have over 100 canna's so lots for them to eat. I have Cloudless Sulphur cats, Monarch cats, and Spicebush Swallowtail cats. other butterflies in the garden but I couldn't get out there fast enough to ID.

[Very cool to see how your yard continues its magic attraction to Brazilians skippers, Beth. Do you think the adult here traces its arrival back to your May 31 report? Or do these eggs, cats, and adults suggest a second arrival this summer? jc]
