From about 1:30-3:30pm in the Smith's Woods butterfly garden while working and multi-tasking! Today was our best tally as far as species diversity so far this year in this garden. We counted 16 black swallowtail cats in every instar, and 3 monarch cats. The duskywing was essentially black when viewed through binoculars with super bright white spots, but would not stop moving. It landed in the complete shade so I had to use the flash for the photo.
