South Jersey Butterfly Project
Cape May County, NJ
Brief stop around 12:30. Despite plenty of frost aster bloom, there were few bflys here. It was in the upper 60's, but cloudy, and over the years I have noticed that late season sun is more important than warmth. I saw 14 species in the Cape this morning (including 20 fiery sk's), but the pearl crescent, the ETB and 6 orange suls were the only bflys that could not be found at Beth Polvino's garden today and I did not need to report all 7 places I visited today.
