Medford Leas fields, Medford
Burlington County, NJ

Late afternoon visit 2:50-4:30 pm. Partly cloudy to cloudy, 80 degrees, and some wind. Didn't think I would see too much. A lot more orange butterfly weed than I recall from a couple years ago in the field behind the tennis court/community garden. No bugs on the extensive c. milkweed, dogbane, or butterfly weed—instead bugs were resting next to it. One Coral hairstreak seen so could just be starting. Would be worthwhile to check out in the next week. Possible crossline….Swamp milkweed leaf beetle was new beetle for me.

[Good work and an impressively diverse list, Chris: 20 species, including three hairstreaks and seven grass skippers (and a possible 8th). Definitely sounds like a place to our group should track. Thanks for the detailed report. jc]
