Eastern Tiger Swallowtail: nice to see numbers at last; White M Hairstreak: photo'd sunning on various leaves, not nectaring, slightly worn; Gray Hairstreak: very fresh on mountain mint; Red-banded Hairstreak: fresh, nectaring on mountain mint; may have been 2 individuals; 'Summer' Spring Azure: many nectaring high on Hercules club; Question Mark: summer form: dark hw, stubby tails; Monarch: 18 species, best day by far in our yard for 2009. Plus, a hummingbird clearwing, an honorary 19th species; Peck's Skipper: an uncommon species in our yard this year!
