Black Swallowtail: on fennel; Spicebush Swallowtail: Not much activity in the garden, but a newly planted Spicebush has two cats. Wild indigo just planted here had a leaf shelter but didn't want to open it up–poss. wild indigo duskywing cat., and fennel has black swallowtail cat.

Very reliable here in a neighboring property; 'Summer' Spring Azure: a surprising bit of action at noon today under cloudy skies and a strong breeze.; Variegated Fritillary: FOY for spreadsheet, but reported by others in SJ this year.; Question Mark: fresh summer form

Black Swallowtail: on fennel, likely same one as reported 6/3; Eastern Tailed-Blue: not much nectar here outside of the garden. Extensive mowing of path & powerline cut.; 'Summer' Spring Azure: 5 of these nectaring on Vib.dentatum, the others were puddling on damp soil; Eastern Comma: at least 4 were fresh summer form; Zabulon Skipper: 4 males 1 female
