Jack Miller

Mid 50's with full sun at 2:00; winds around 8-12. Thrilled to find the checkered white in CMY county.

[Conratulations to Jack M on the excellent find – only our third record for checkered white in CMY in our ten years (and interestingly close in timing to our previous CMY report: 10/29/16 by Beth Polvino in her yard). jc]

Jack Miller and TJ Jannsch

Cape May h\Hawk Watch
Cape May County, NJ

Met up with Jack Connor for a big time in the Cape. By 7:45 the monarchs were flying and flew past us at at least 15-20 per hour until we left at 12:30. It was hard to pay attention to them as we were distracted by a golden eagle, bald eagles, harriers, red-tails, red-shouldereds, broad-winged hawks, Coopers, sharp-shins, and many other wonderful birds.
