Quite sure of ID Eastern Comma. Got a good look at black edging of wings and marking. Flew up from leaves at base of old wooden fencing, short flight into laurel gave me time to look. The usual Azure always here this time of year. 11:30am quiet, sheltered from gusty day.

While doing some fence painting I saw a Spring Azure flying over and around an American Cranberry bush. Never landed. Spring Azures have been quite rare in this garden over the years. "Summer" Spring Azures are quite common during their long flight period.

Always look for Henry's with green scaling. Found one this day. Also observed a Brown elfin in pursuit of a Henry's. Both Orangetips were males.
