Walked 2 no name sand roads in the early afternoon. One road was north of Rt.49 and the other was south. Both roads were pretty much 2 tracks going through dry Pine-Oak woods. The Hairstreak was on the road edge where I was parked. The Juvenal's count is a guesstimate.

Windy, sunny, temp high 50s. 1:15-2:45 on sandy trails east side of campus through oak/pine woods. Duskywings spaced out in singles, most apparently males. Far outnumbered by six-spotted tiger beetles.

Obs. made from 1:20 to 3:45, part sun, 61 degrees and 18-20 SW wind. Snout was ovipositing on Hackberry. M.Cloak was hunkered down in the wind. A male Orangetip was chasing a mated pair of Cabbage Whites. Orangetip count was 6 males 3 females. Nectaring on Autumn Olive today were Q-Mark, both Red Admirals, E.Comma, & Cabbage White.

Walked for almost two hours (with stops) upper 50's partly sunny to cloudy, lightly winds to gusty until it started to drizzle. Saw a possible 10-12 Brown Elfin and 1 Blue sp. Only 1 tiger beetle a Bronzed Tiger Beetle (Cicindela repanda).
